Lending of recording equipment

When conducting qualitative interviews as part of scientific research projects, a reliable and high-quality audio recording is of central importance. Audio devices enable precise recording of verbal utterances, which facilitates both transcription and subsequent analysis. Particularly with regard to data protection issues, recording using recording devices, in contrast to recording via cell phones or tablets, also represents a secure way of recording and storing the audio files obtained.

As part of the courses offered in Qualitative Methods of Social Research, students can borrow recording devices to conduct interviews or group discussions. This option is also available for final theses supervised by the chair.
